PROJECTS
The Solwezi Project
Copper occurs on the northern flanks of the Luswishi dome within the roan unit. The upper roan lithological section includes calcareous biotite schist with limestone intercalation overlain by amphibolites-capped Kundelungu tillites. The lower roan comprises quartz biotite schist and at the base lays a quartz biotite gneiss basement. The strata dips at about 30° north, copper mineralization occurs as chalcopyrite in calcite veins cutting through the upper roan. Intersected in 9 of the 13 holes drilled. Values ranging from 1%Cu across 1.7 meters to 11.71%Cu over 1.4 meters were intersected. One thick intersection assayed 0.98%Cu over 9.8 meters.
